Taxation on Sports and Virtual betting in Greece

Sport and Virtual bets placed by customers with Greek residence are subject to a withholding tax:

• 0% tax on winning bets up to and including €100
• 2.5% tax on winning bets between €100.01 and €200
• 5% tax on winning bets between €200.01 and €500
• 7.5% tax on winning bets over €500.01

The tax deduction is applied per bet ID - that means for bets with winnings up to €100, there will be no tax deduction, for bets with winning amounts between €100.01 and €200 2.5% will be deducted, for bets with winning amounts between €200.01 and €500 5% will be deducted and 7.5% for any bets with winning amounts above €500.01.The stake is not considered for taxation.
